We are pleased to announce that the new project led by Dr. Sergi Munné-Bosch, Professor in the Department of Evolutionary Biology, Ecology and Environmental Sciences at the Faculty of Biology, has been selected in the Product Modality of the 2025 Knowledge Industry Programme and will be funded by the Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR).
The funded project, titled Validation of CAFPROM, a circular economy-based bioestimulant for improving yield and quality of tomatoes, aims to further validate a bioestimulant based on caffeine to foster sustainable agricultural systems such as hydroponic farming and to improve yield and quality of tomatoes. On top of that, this project will advance the transfer from the previous LLAVOR project (2021LLAV-00078) from TLR4 to TLR8, all while using a circular economy approach.
