PLANTsynergy is a research group in plant physiology from the University of Barcelona led by Prof. Sergi Munné-Bosch. Its core investigations are focused in plant  biochemistry, plant ecophysiology and agrifood biotechnology.

After more than 15 years of research, PLANTsynergy aims for a better understanding of plants in their natural environment and in agricultural systems.

For this, the research group performs both fundamental and applied studies to depict key plant responses and elucidate mechanisms to increase their quality and productivity.

The main challenges of PLANTsynergy research group include:

• Advance basic research in the plant sciences
• Improve our knowledge of natural ecosystems
• Provide sustainable solutions for the agrifood biotech sector
• Transfer knowledge to stakeholders and society
