Marcel Massó is a graduate in Biotechnology, molecular mention, from the University of Barcelona (UB). In his BCs final project he focused on the response and study of the English grassland community to the anthropogenic effects of plowing and fertilization, as well as the comparison between traditional biochemical laboratory analysis techniques and new approaches with UAVs in the University of Oxford. This year 2023-2024, he has started his master’s in Environmental Agrobiology at the UB and will do his final master’s project in the PLANTsynergy group under the supervision of Laia Jené and Dr. Sergi Munné. His work will focus on the multi-stress response in the rosemary plant (Salvia rosmarinus), specifically in response to drought and the effect of the holoparasitic plant Orobanche latisquama.
